During this normal relaxing Friday afternoon, I went on Grouplens to see what new students are taken in because I applied for the lab but somehow gave up the opportunity and landed my phd study on an engineering school. Then it's really surprising to come across a Chengduer who's a Chengdu Foreign Language School alumni (well I'm from Chengdu Experimental Foreign Language School though). Uhmm, this world does work in a mysterious way...
OMG that's indeed a small world.. Glad to hear the voice of a homie thousands miles away from home! Esp. when the two schools are like only a couple blocks away.
Anyways, since you were an applicant of Grouplens, I'm assuming we have somewhat similar research interests and highly likely will run into each other in some conference in the future.. :)
lol, it's about 500 miles away since I'm at Purdue and shifting my gears to computer engineering..
Yep, let's see =)
Happy birthday Xinyi.
You are the most excellent and lively girl I have ever met. Hope we are going to be bettter ourselves finally.
OMG, hi baoquan and you are amazing too, just as always!
